Located:
The new playground, located at the Williams Landing sporting precinct, on Freya Drive, opened recently. We snuck down after swimming on a midweek visit while it was nice and quiet. The wind whipped through the area, but that’s to be expected, as the playground is nestled amongst several large sporting ovals. There is however, some semi-covered BBQ and seating area. There is also some gym equipment located at the front of the playground so mum and dad can easily keep an eye on the kids while they are playing at the same time.
Equipment:
- half basketball court
- large grassed ovals
- large net climbing apparatus
- large nest swing
- 1 large see saw
- 3 spring see saws
- 1 wooden balance beam walk
- wooden stepping block walk
- 2 swings, 1 with toddler harness
- play structure
- large slide, smaller slide
- fireman pole
- rubber ramps
- ladders
- conjoined climbing areas with netting
- BBQ area with seats
- drinking water fountain
Jack liked:
Jack continually surprises me when he tries new climbing equipment. He openly navigated the climbing aspects of this playground, including the nets. He also loved the gigantic nest swing. It was hard work getting him away from that!
