Located:
This playground is located within Malcolm Creek Park, in the Highland Estate, Craigieburn. It’s close to the shops and the main street. There is a large BBQ area near the playground, as well as toilets. This playground is one of those playgrounds, that makes you instantly go ‘wow’! The sheer size and the planning that obviously went into the area , really shows. The playground, according to the map, is split into zones, each with different equipment suitable for the kids abilities – Jack happily ventured into most areas to have a play. For those that want to read all about the life cycle of the moth, and the habitats that it lives in, all the information can be found on the boards around the playground.

Jack liked:
climbing up the stairs to the large moth. He was able to go down the 2 side slides, but didn’t want to venture into the larger slide at the back of the moth. The underbody of the moth is composed of netting, and provides great climbing for the older kids. Jack’s too young to attempt the net climbing, and even I struggled! The smaller toddler area, had a funky big bowl that turns around. It was a bit hot in the sun, but still usable. With only 1 toddler swing, on the weekend that we visited, Jack had a small wait. The park is spread out enough, so that kids still have space to run and play. There is also a few walking tracks alongside the playground, which would make for a great bike ride/scooter ride to take up some time for when the kids get bored.
